THEN & NOW

It may have been because my husband worked for IBM, but I was bitten by the computer bug (no pun intended) early. When I first began computing on a Texas Instruments computer with a whopping 16k of memory, it used a tape recorder to record and load programs and had no hard drive. Basic programming was difficult, but fun to learn. Things evolved very quickly and now I happily compute using a custom-built pentium II with 64meg of memory and a 14 gig hard drive. Learning to create web pages is now the fun thing I choose to do.
While computing adds a great amount of fun to my day, Paint Shop Pro adds much

C O L O R !

Being able to create and manipulate graphics with this great program is a very satisfying thing for me to do. Our very first printer was a black and white dot matrix. Although it was a nice one, it still produced only black and white graphics. Now I print out my creations on an HP880C, and an Alps MD1000 gives me the capability to produce metallic designs, also.
All in all, my history with computers is probably similar to that of many people:

"We've come a long way, Baby!"
